Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information HourlyRated collects, how it's used, and who it's shared with. HourlyRated is a small, independently operated tool — this policy is written in plain language rather than dense legal boilerplate.

1. What we collect

Today, we collect your email address when you sign in, via Supabase Auth's magic-link sign-in (you enter your email, we send you a one-time link — there's no password to manage).

We plan to collect your name in a future update. We do not collect it today.

2. How we use it

• To identify your account and keep your sign-in session working across visits.
• To determine whether you're on the free tier or have unlocked unlimited access, so the app can gate exports and the insights dashboard correctly.
• To send you the sign-in (magic link) email itself.

3. Who we share it with

We use two third-party services to run HourlyRated, and share the minimum data each needs to do its job:

• Supabase — hosts our authentication system and database (in the ca-central-1 region). Your email address and account status are stored there.
• Stripe — processes the one-time $19 payment. Stripe handles your card details directly; HourlyRated never receives or stores your raw card number.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with any advertising or analytics network.

4. Local storage, not tracking cookies

After you sign in, Supabase stores a session token in your browser's local storage so you don't have to sign in again on every visit. This is not a third-party advertising or tracking cookie — it only identifies your session to our own auth system.

5. Marketing emails

We do not send marketing emails without separate, explicit consent. Today, the only email you'll receive is the transactional magic-link sign-in email.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. If you'd like your data deleted, see "Your rights" below.

7. Your rights

You can request access to, or deletion of, your personal data at any time by emailing support@hourlyrated.com. We'll respond and act on verified requests promptly.

8. Children's privacy

HourlyRated is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
